Originally used in the living quarters of Chinese homes—where it served as a daybed and resting place for opium smoking—this piece dates back to a rich cultural history, particularly in Southern China.The elmwood frame displays a beautiful dark grain, enhanced by remnants of its original cracked dark brown paint.
